Conference on Mechanism and Institution Design 2020
The 2020 Conference will take place at the Department of Economics, Alpen-Adria-University of Klagenfurt/Celovec, Austria.
Papers can be theoretical, empirical, experimental, historical, practical, or simply clever. Young economists including final year PhD students are encouraged to submit their papers. All conference talks will be open to the public free of charge but delegates will have priority to take seats.

Location
Klagenfurt, home to about 100,000 inhabitants, is a modern, relaxed, and safe city with a Mediterranean flair uniquely placed at the intersection of three distinct cultures. The campus is situated close to the mountains, lakes, and the Adriatic is within easy reach. Klagenfurt’s own airport services Vienna (a 20 minutes flight) and several international destinations. The major airports and urban centers of Graz, Ljubljana, and Venice are all within 2-3 hours public transport travel. Direct trains from Vienna and Munich traverse the Alps on beautiful routes and take no more than twice that time. Alpen-Adrian-University Klagenfurt is one of the most attractive campus universities in Austria.

Conference Fees
Participants are charged a registration fee of 300 e until 1-Jun-2020 and 350 e after. Reduced fees for PhD students are 200 e until 1-Jun-2020 and 250 e after. Fees include access to all venues, two lunches, one dinner, and drinks.
Paper Submission
We will start accepting paper submissions from 1-Oct-2019 until 15-Apr-2020. Papers should be submitted in PDF form to cmid20@aau.at. All details are available on our website www.mechanism-design.org. Each individual can only submit one paper. Please indicate if the/an author is a (final-year) PhD student. Further Particulars As Klagenfurt is an extremely busy travel destination during the summer months, we advise all interested participants to book accommodation (through the list available on our website or overleaf) directly after submission. Bookings can be released without (significant) cost up to 14 days before the due date. Late bookings could be difficult or expensive!
